"I can't believe you don't speak English. You have such an American name." -- My mom's response to our French waiter named Muhammad telling us he did not speak English.
"Because they all say visitor." -- My mom explaining to me why she was driving around an empty bank parking lot on a Saturday at 5 o'clock in the evening. She did explain that she was saying crazy things, because she was sleeping... while driving.
